Video Surveillance Monitoring Centre
Live Monitoring
JTG Systems takes Digital Video Recording (DVR) to the next level with its LIVE monitoring services. A recording surveillance system is an invaluable resource serving as both a crime deterrent and a tool that is used to ID perpetrators after an infiltration has occurred. However, if your home, business or government agency seeks to prevent crime before it happens, then a stand alone video recording device may not be enough of a deterrent. Vandals are clever enough to know that the video on sight is only being recorded, and that no real security guard exists that is monitoring it. Preventing mischief from occurring in the first place requires LIVE monitoring and most importantly, immediate response. JTG Systems retains a fully staffed monitoring facility capable of remotely monitoring your property at rates far more affordable than those of a stationary guard service but equally or more effective. Our surveillance supervisors will be alerted to your DVR’s motion activity, both indoors and outdoors, and are able to take immediate actions to intervene in your best interests. Other areas in which JTG Systems Security’s services are used are in apartment buildings, retirement homes, parking lots, campuses, business districts and construction projects where controlled access is important.
Motion Detection Systems
JTG Systems removes the human error variable from live monitoring by using advanced computerized motion detection to survey your property. False alarms are automatically filtered out and only motion activity that qualifies as a true threat is sent to our monitoring station for live human verification by one of our supervisors. Our guards are constantly kept active and alert using this method of monitoring.
Live Intervention from Security
Our central monitoring station resolves most incidents of loitering, vandalism and mischief before the damage is done! Through the use of voice and warning signals, we are able to communicate with trespassers upon their arrival to your property and instruct them to leave. If a trespasser fails to cooperate with our instructions, then we will report the trespassers immediately to police dispatch so that they may take the appropriate action. Our business is to monitor your property and intervene if deviant activity occurs during business down-time.
ALARM Verification
The Niagara Regional Police responds to all alarms. False alarms waste man power and reduce the integrity of your alarm system. Unfortunately, many regional police services like the N.R.P.S have been forced to bill thousands of homes and small businesses for false alarm responses in order to recover some of their costs. Last year, the Niagara Regional Police services collected over one million dollars in false alarm service charges, many of which could have been avoided with proper alarm verification procedures. If your local police department does not already charge you for false alarms, then they probably have you in a “no response status” which means that the police will no longer respond to calls from your current alarm monitoring station unless the alarm is verified to be a true threat first. The Peel Police have been implementing this policy of “no response status” since 1989 and have successfully reduced false alarm responses by 45%, but at who’s cost? (source: False Alarm Reduction Association online)
We encourage our customers to use our service in partnership with their existing alarm monitoring company in order to verify your alarms prior to dispatching the police. Remember, the police are more than willing to respond to any emanating threats on your property free of charge to you, but if you cannot verify that there was a threat at time of dispatch, you will be charged! (By-Law 268-2004 Sect. 3.2)
Off site Video Archiving
Included in all our live monitoring service plans is off-site video archiving. This means that all the active video footage we capture from your property during your business down time is archived at our central monitoring facility for a period of 30 days, or for an extra nominal fee, we will provide monthly backups to you on DVD video for you to archive indefinitely. In the event of total loss to your property (fire or flood), you and the authorities will be pleased to know that your surveillance system data resides safely at our central monitoring station.
Photo Incident Reports
When police are required to make an arrest, that arrest is more likely to lead to a successful prosecution with photo and video evidence included with an incident report. We print detailed incident reports with photomontages and submit all DVD video files to the police. If you are having chronic problems with after hours employee theft, graffiti and vandalism, loitering or mischief, only we can provide the tools authorities need to successfully prosecute. Our incident reports are also available to our customers. These reports can help you to identify potential shoplifters or vandals that survey your property after hours.
Getting Started:
JTG Systems will work with you to evaluate your property’s controlled access areas and security requirements. If a compatible Digital Video Recording (DVR) surveillance system is not already installed on site, then we will customize and install a new state of the art DVR system for you. A high speed Internet connection is then used by the DVR system to communicate with our central monitoring station. When positioning your cameras, careful attention is given towards highlighting your controlled access areas so that we may optimally survey your property during your business down time hours. You can sleep better at night knowing that your property is being monitored full time with live human intervention as required.
